Compost'ON Rollout, training and support for local authorities

Simplify composting. Accelerate the ecological transition.

Compost'ON is the leading digital platform for managing, measuring and promoting composting across your territory. Designed by a master composter and an engineer.

Since 1 January 2024, separate collection of food waste concerns every local authority in France. Installing composters is one thing; keeping the sites alive over time is another. It takes trained site leaders, shifts that are actually covered, volumes that are recorded, and reliable figures to report at the end of the year.

MLK Concept publishes Compost'ON, the composting site management software, and supports the local authorities, waste management bodies, associations and residents' groups that roll it out across their area. The tool was not born in an office: it comes from a real shared composting site.

465 site leaders equipped
1,061 composting sites listed
4,482 shifts organised over 12 months
10 inter-municipal authorities covered, i.e. 99 municipalities

6 new clients since 2024, in mainland France, on Réunion Island and in Belgium.

Figures from the Compost'ON platform as of 22 September 2026.

What we do around the software

Software delivered without support ends up unused. Our work starts where the installation stops.

Rollout and configuration across your area

We map the existing composting sites, create accounts for staff and site leaders, and configure the tool to match your own rules. You start with a usable picture of the ground, not with an empty application.

Training for site leaders and staff

We train the people who will keep the sites running: how to use the software, but also composting practice, balancing materials and monitoring temperatures. Our sessions are participatory and built on hands-on workshops, on site.

Ongoing support and follow-up

A shared composting site lives thanks to the residents who look after it. We support the groups, help keep the shifts covered, and review the indicators with you on a regular basis: volumes of food waste diverted, resident participation, quality of the compost produced.

Why software alone is not enough

MLK Concept was born from a shared composting site, Terre Nouvelle du Coteau, in the Vendée, run by a residents' group since 2010. Years on the ground showed one thing: what gets stuck is almost never the composting technique, it is the organisation. Who turns the bin this week? Who raises the alarm when wood chips run out? Who will be able to say, in December, how many tonnes were diverted?

Compost'ON answers those questions, provided someone sets the tool up, trains the people who will use it and stays reachable afterwards. That is exactly our role: we do not deliver software, we put in place an organisation that holds.

We also work directly in the field: community composting and hands-on workshops.

Who this support is for

We work with:

  • local authorities and waste management bodies structuring their food waste policy;
  • associations and residents' groups running one or more shared composting sites;
  • social landlords, companies and institutions composting on their own premises;
  • any team that has to report on its results: volumes, participation, environmental impact.

The Compost'ON software in brief

Compost'ON is a web and mobile application, available on iOS, Android and any browser, that brings together everything happening on an area's composting sites:

Site supervision

Map and monitor all composting sites across your territory in real time.

Stakeholder coordination

Facilitate communication between agents, site referents, service providers and citizens.

Volume tracking

Measure recovered biowaste and track key indicators.

Temperature control

Monitor bin temperatures to ensure quality composting.

Event management

Schedule shifts, workshops, training sessions and technical interventions.

Environmental impact

Visualize the impact of your actions through dashboards and reports.

Let's talk about your area

Tell us how many sites you manage, where you stand today and what is not working. We will come back to you with a proposal that fits, and no jargon: get in touch.
