Community composting and organic waste management

MLK Concept is a company specializing in biowaste management through custom-designed composting systems to meet your specific needs.

We run hands-on composting workshops to help you set up a composting system adapted to your requirements. Our goal is to make you self-sufficient in organic waste management.

MLK Concept has also been a key player in the creation of the university vegetable garden, implementing composting solutions, and in the development of collective composting on the IUT campus in La Roche-sur-Yon.

Why start now

Since 1 January 2024, separate collection of food waste concerns every local authority in France. Shared composting is one of the most direct answers: the waste stays where it is produced, it is neither collected nor transported, and it comes back to residents as compost.

Who this support is for

We work with:

• local authorities and waste management bodies setting up shared composting sites across their area;
• residents' groups and associations that keep a site running day to day;
• social landlords, companies and institutions composting on their own premises.

How we work

We start from your site and your constraints: available space, number of households, dry matter on hand, people ready to look after it. We design the composting system accordingly, then run hands-on workshops on site, at the bin, with the people who will use it. The aim is not to come back every month: it is for the site to run without us.
